How NOT to get food poisoning: free class!! (mountain view)
Hello to all:
I am offering a free class explaining all the ins and outs of food poisoning and how NOT to get it.
I have had food poisoning 17 times in my adult life, including Hepatitis A, Montezuma’s Revenge, E. Coli, Staphylococcus, Giardiasis, Botulism, Listeria, 3 cases of mushroom poisoning, Salmonella, Yersinia, Cholera, and, of course, Campylobacter. I am currently suffering an overgrowth of candida albens and have 2 other yeast infections but I am not contagious. I teach classes in both wilderness survival and cooking at South Bay CC and I am offering this class as a free service so folks don’t have to make the same mistakes I’ve made!
Course topics include the following:
• Tunnel Vision and Tinnitus ~ or ~ How to Identify Early Warning Signs
• Blue Mold Good, White Mold Bad ~ or ~ What to Eat and What to Rinse Off
• How Cope with Simultaneous Diarrhea and Vomiting Symptoms ~ or ~ Shower Curtains are Your Friend!
Please bear with me as complications from past poisonings have left me with a mild speech impediment due to some inflammation-related nerve damage. The course is FREE, though, and will be useful to anyone who eats food!!
We’ll be meeting at the Peet’s Coffee in Emeryville on Saturday afternoon at 2pm. Afterwards, if there’s interest, I’ll be taking a foraging group out to Tilden Park for some mushroom hunting!!
Email me for info – I hope I see you there!!
